1) I am trying to find out the correct fuel pump for a 1969 427/435 Corvette. I have a 40659 but from what I am reading in some places they state that is for a 390 HP car. Some guidance would be appreciated. And 2) when did they change the PCV valve from milled to stamped. I know it took place during the 69 model year I was wondering if there is an accepted time frame. My car is a 21st of Jan 1969 production car.

In general, Holley equipped cars used different fuel pumps than Q-Jet equipped cars. The AC 40659 is a fuel pump for Q-Jet equipped cars. I believe that the 1969 L-71 was originally equipped with a 40482 carburetor and GM agrees with me.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
