    leaking tripower center carb

A couple of years ago I regasketed the front and rear carbs in my 67 tripower 427 to cure fuel leaks. Yesterday I discovered that now the center carb was leaking from what looked like the underside front part (accelerator pump diaphragm?). It leaked when I first started the car but then stopped after a minute or two of idling. After wiping the leaked fuel from the manifold and observing that no more was coming I very carefully drove the car for about five miles (fire extinguisher at the ready!), came back home, parked it and did not find any further evidence of leaking. Nevertheless, I want to r&r the carb and install a new kit but don't know where to source a good one guaranteed to withstand the damaging effects of ethanol gas. Hopefully some of you can advise me on this. Although I try to only put non-ethanol gas in the car and drive it at least once per month, it's not always possible given Colorado winters and several other toy cars that must also get exercised.
Thank you all in advance for your recommendations as to vendor and brand of these kits.

Holley has the functionally correct rebuild and replacement parts. Start with them. Their website should list the rebuild parts/kits for your model carb.

If you don't like the blue color of some of the latest gaskets, you can recolor them or buy black coated ones from NAPA.

In the long run, carb may need to be sent out and milled flat in the sealing places. I am experiencing similar issues, and that is likely my outcome for the future.

      Richard,

It's typical for these gaskets to shrink once they been exposed to fuel, once they get some fuel on the gasket they expand and usually stop leaking. My holley does it often. I start my car up to get fuel in the carb then I'll let it sit for a day before I drive it to make sure I have no leaks. The other option is to start your car every couple of days but don't go a month as the fuel will be gone.

The Holley kit you want to use it 37-396. It has everything you will need plus some extra gaskets. It is for the center carb or the front/rear carbs as well.
