    I don't think it does. My delivery was in 2006 and I paid the destination charge. I think the car carrier drove 1 mile. Sounded like a Union issue to me. Maybe it's changed, others will chime in.

      I am sure the destination charge is still on the Monroney Label, however it is not a union issue. The Museum is a dealer and has a dealer code and zone while they do not sell cars -- go figure that one.

      Years ago buyers could avoid the destination or delivery charge by picking up the car from the assembly plant (I once owned a 1950 Buick that was purchased by the original owner that way) but dealers objected to that practice and Federal legislation was passed against it. More recently Tesla tried to sell cars directly to consumers and after some litigation Tesla gave up that idea. At one way back time the destination charge varied depending on the distance one was from the assembly plant (think back to that 1950 Buick), but the same legislation that outlawed factory pick-up also made the delivery charge the same regardless of distance from the assembly plant. Under the earlier system dealers closer to the assembly plant were at a price advantage, and of course the dealers further from the assembly plant couldn't stand for that. End result of all of the above = the purchaser gets the short end of the stick and pays regardless.

      Edit add: I thought I might be able to back up my memory with a Google search, but so far I have only found this, which covers some mor current information which was news to me. It might be to you as well:
      Picture this: You're sitting at home one night watching TV or flipping through a magazine when you see an ad for a shiny new sports car whipping through a curvy canyon highway—or maybe it's a rugged pickup kicking up a cloud of dust in search of adventure. The announcer screams at you, "$29,995!" You think to yourself—wow, that's a lot of car...

        Hello;
        Thanks for your responses.
        A friend prompted me use the "Chevrolet.com" ordering site.
        After going through the process and seeing the totals in "summary" the destination $1095. & museum delivery charges $995 are in the total.
