    66 tanker

Is anybody familiar with a 66 Nassau blue tanker # 103573. I saw the car on line and have been e mailing back and forth with the ( owner ? ) supposedly over seas in the military and has a shipping firm selling the car for him. Buyer is to put the money in a super secure escrow account and the money will be released to the seller upon a satisfactory exchange. it all sound fishy but I have many pictures of the beautifully restored car. Just wondering if he is really the owner or if he is just a fraud using some one elce's car. My son was approached with a deal like this 15 years ago it proved to be bogus.
    Thanks
    Bill

Agree with Tom. When you attempt to arrange an in person inspection, the scammer will likely disappear or have many excuses to avoid it.

What i really want is for the real owner of the car to see that their car is being used in this deal. The car is supposedly in North Dacota. Not like i can just take a ride over to see it. I told the guy that I have money burning a hole in my pocket and my wife said you've been wanting a tanker for as long as I know you so just buy it. I want to keep him going. the way he writes I can tell he is not from North America.

                Tom

that's the car even the very same pictures. I have to figure out a way to have fun with this jerk. The price was a bargain $114,637 another indication that is was a scam. maybe I can send a $ 1,000,000 dollar bill and ell him to keep the change

MIKE JOHNSON has a TANKER collection. He knows many owners. And I think he is read to sell a 64 Tanker soon.

Ha! Just lots of gas cans and a big pickup, BTW, you really must use ethanol free gas for tankers. Yes, this is a scam IMO. There are 2 Nassau Blue with black interior ones I know of, both early '66 MY builds, both L72s only 1 with N14.
