As my project continues I got photos from shop and a couple items popped up immediately. Would like to verify if i got this right. On a 66 327/300hp oil filler tube should be black not orange? Cap also black not chrome? The water outlet should be aluminum not orange? Thanks

The oil filler tube was painted semi-gloss black (it was installed at St. Louis so it was not painted with the engine). The oil filler cap was black but it was not painted. It was a black electroplated finish. The thermostat housing was painted with the engine and, thus, was orange. Engines with aluminum manifolds had natural aluminum or aluminum painted thermostat housings. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
