C3 Lower Steering Column Bearing Clamp/1970 Corvette

I'm rebuilding a 1970 LT1 steering column, it seems from my observations that the (shaft) lower bearing retaining clamp was not used in 1970. However I have pictures of a Bowtie July built 1970 LT1 with a original lower bearing clamp.

So was there a lower clamp used in July built 1970 LT1s?

Standard column or tilt?

Hi Gary, mine is a standard column and the photo I posted is anyone's guess as I didn't take the photo and I do not want to post the serial # of that car..
