Who have people sent C2 non-tele steering rag joints to to be restored? I'm looking ot get one done.

Nobody can get the correct 7-layer "rag" carcasses anymore, LICS sold out a couple years back and Andy Cannizzo sold his last one (I am told)....so I don't know what anybody would use to restore the inner material. Gary R. has discussed this several times on several forums.

Curiosity has got the best of me. I have never messed with one. What exactly is the purpose of the 7 layer disc? Could you make one from a piece of a steel belted radial tire? Just throwing out my ignorance of what it does.
