What year is this ?

I would like to have some help identify the year of this Corvette. This is the only picture that I have of it. It was the first Corvette that my dad had bought. He passed away in December of 2018. I am looking to buy the same year and build a tribute car. It has to be 74-77 as that photo was taken in 1977. The car was rolled when he purchased it. We worked on it for many months together. Stingray emblem) when the soft/flexible rear fascia was added. Open fender grille and no fender switch for alarm = 1973, yes?

I agree. 1973. The black? paint is tricky

However, the alarm switch was moved in front of the Stingray emblem for 1974, not above it.

If it's a '73, the rear would accept chrome bumpers and not the polyurethane (?) cover that came in in 1974. Do you remember the car having chrome bumpers?

I am searching the old family albums for rear photos with no luck yet. I am thinking 73 sounds right.
