Anyone have experience with Jet-Hot for cast iron exhaust manifold(s)? I am considering it for the split manifold on my inline 6 in my '54 Corvette. They offer two blues that look reasonably close to GM engine blue - 'Carolina Blue' and 'Blue Topaz'. I was thinking that even if it is a shade or two off of the engine color, it's still a lot closer than grey, black, or rust. :-)
Coating is supposed to be good to 1,250 degrees. I can't help but think that the old sixes didn't run that terribly warm. Especially the way this one will likely get driven.
As a part of the cleaning and coating process they bake the piece several times.
Thoughts/input?
