    68 Brake Caliper Rebuild

Wish to rebuild/change my brake calipers to "O" ring style.
Any suggestions for best vendor for rebuild kit?
    Thank you in advance,
    Kurt

http://www.cssbinc.com/ They're the manufacturer, not a middle man.

Have the calipers been previously sleeved? If so, you can obtain an 0-ring conversion/rebuild kit from any of the vendors and do it yourself. If they have not been sleeved, you'll need to have that done first and, if so, you might as well have them converted at the same time.

          Joe,
Calipers have been re-sleeved several years ago so I guess I can concert to the "O" rings myself

Yes, if they've been previously sleeved with high quality stainless sleeves, they should be fine.

Something I forgot to mention: there are basically two types of o-ring pistons. One type uses no springs and the other uses springs like the original pistons. I recommend only the type that uses springs.

From what I've read and discussed with some of the brake companies the springs are optional, but not harmful or problematic.
Like you, I'd install them anyway.

I would agree with Leif and Jim. Both are reputable companies and do their own work.

Kurt I have used Lonestar many times. I had calipers rebuilt with O rings last year for my 68 project.
