need photo of original c-2 heater motor and heater box LABELS

I believe the 63 labels are unique to these labels. anybody got photos of all c-2 labels? thanks. trying to help the team leaders (and several of them are in dire need of help, both technical and psychiatric). only the 65 JM shows a photo of the label and I believe its too large to be an original. the 63-4, 66 and 67 manuals discuss the presence of labels, but the derivation is sparse and no photos in those JM's. thanks , mike

Mike, I've restored several 63 inside and outside heater boxes. I've never seen a label on one. That doesn't mean they did not exist at one time. There are white and yellow stamps on the inside but you can't see them when the boxes are installed.

Photo of a 67 no A/C "outside" heater box showing number stamp, not visible when installed.

Photo taken just after cleaning and then running over with the car...... costly mistake!!!!!!

I have an original 64 heater box (off the car and sitting in a box). There is a stencil or stamp on the inside - will send pics if you want it. The outside was sanded and sprayed black by a PO, so there is no originality on the visual side that would be of use to you. Let me know if you want the pic - it is similar to the pic that Stephan posted.

Were you referencing the stamping on the heater box or something else?

I think Mike is looking for a paper or foil label glued to the any part on the interior or exterior heater box(s).

Also, if you look on eBay there are a number of 63 NOS blower motors for sale. I have not seen one with any type of label on it.

#14, maybe it is an old judges' tale about there being stickers.........

                    Mike,
Not sure exactly what labels you are looking for, but here are pictures of heater motors with the original inspection stickers (for dimensions since they are unreadable) from May and June 67 cars

I think I have a couple photos that may be what you are looking for. They are off of my '67 (June 23rd car) though, and I don't know how that would compare to the '63. I had to repair the heater core a while back and the heater box is not the original, as I had to replace it due to damage on the flange in a couple places from the nuts. I still have my original and intend to repair it. The blower motor I believe is original, although I didn't inspect it closely when I had it out. The second image is actually right side up from how it was applied to the motor housing. Had to use my inspection camera to get the close up. Hope this helps.

Steve and pat. years ago, while at the regional in Cyprus, I bought a bunch of labels identical to Steves photo. got them from a restorer. I wonder if steve's corvette is unmolested or a restoration out of New York restorer. anyway,Pat, pm me your snail mail address and I'll send you a couple of the labels. mike
