When driving the '66 hear slight to moderate rotational sounding squeal which seems more pronounced at lower speed, and sounds like coming from front but not 100% sure. The suspension system was rebuild 20 years ago when car was restored, may be have 10,000 miles on it. Have researched the archives and assume the wheel bearing and U joints need to be checked out? BTW, rear trailing arms were rebuilt by Bairs so assume rear bearing not the issue.

Re: Rotational Sounding Squeal When Driving the '66
I would get some one to drive the Corvette in a circle and then stand in the center and listen.
Drive the Corvette in both directions. Is it related to vehicle speed, does it change depending on the transmission gear?
Could be anything from half shaft U-Joints to a front wheel bearing.
You might be surprised how much the sound changes when you are outside the car.
It is also much easier to discern if the sound is from the front or the rear of the car.
Drive it a few miles and check for heat on all four of the wheel bearings and any where else you might find something hot.

John, jack up the front wheels one side at a time and spin each wheel to see if you can duplicate the noise.New England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight.- Top
