Did all 1966 Vettes with Base Engine receive the front steering stabililizer shock?

Restoring a 66 Base Engine Coupe. Did all of them receive the above? Did it make a difference if the
car had the N40 option or not? If they did was it received through all of the build? My car was built in the
1st two weeks of the build.(Sept.) Thanks in advance-Larry

The answer is yes except for models with power steering (N40) in which case the hydraulic boost cylinder replaced the steering damper.
