    1959 348

Not a Corvette question but our membership seems to own a Chevy of every type made. Anyone have a photo of a 1959 or close 348 engine pad with the original stamping. if so can you email it to tio2jim@aol.com I struck out trying to find one on the internet

If you get a pic where the pad has obvious rotary milling marks do not worry. Since the 348 and 409 engines had different deck angles than every other Chevy V8, they were not finished with the regular broaching operation at Tonowanda. They were milled and look like blocks that have been decked by a local machine shop.
