I've searched for several years for the adapter (or even a usable repo) that attaches to the air meter for the flex hose on an Airbox car. Is such a thing even available? I've never seen one other than an original--------------------and none of those are available!

HI Tom, Many years ago I had an airbox AC adapter and had no clue what it was. Came with a customers unit. Then later on in life when I saw one I knew I messed up. Merry Christmas, JohnComment

tom: as handy as you are, why not modify a non-airbox adaptor? if u'd like, I'll remove the one off our airbox, photograph it and send them to you. if u are going to the florida regional, I'll bring it along. I have a spare 58-62 adapter and I've examined it every which way to the moon trying to determine a way to modify it into an Airbox adapter.
Two conclusions. One, I just cannot come up with a way to do it satisfactorily. Two, if I cut it up, and it won't work, then I've ruined a good 58-62 adapter.
Also, I've thought about trying to modify a right side fresh air flange (fresh air for the heater hose) that attaches to the radiator support (it is for 4in hose). Maybe copulate that flange to a 58-62 air meter adapter-----------------but I need a scrap flange.Comment

Tom, The one that I had years ago wasn't mine. It came with a customers FI unit and he got it back as I thought it was a Bubba part.
Anyhow it was silver. NOT black.
Dr. Mike and I have been emailing that info back and forth.
