1963 Nose Emblem Thickness and Fit

I just received a text from my paint and body guy that the nose emblem is not fitting flush on the nose due to the thickness of the bosses. Does anyone know what the correct thickness is or have photos? I won't be visiting the shop until later this week so any help would be appreciated. Photos that he sent are attached.

Yep - I found some photos in another thread that showed the same issue and that was the solution. It fits nicely now.

Dremel tool. Grind the bosses off.

That is probably what others have suggested. Personally I'd rather not mess with the fiberglass and possibly paint.

I wouldn't want to grind off the boss on the emblem. Those studs can break off and grinding them down will increase the chance of breaking them.
