I'm sorry I just had a question for Gary Bosselman about the vacuum plumbing on my car, we talked at Frisco, and couldn't get them to post on the PM board. I don't think the JM addresses the Big Blocks with Air Conditioning which changes the more common steel-rubber line to carb. I think those pictures reference the possible differences.

Oh, also these changes required a different tune up decal (3940925) mentioned in the text. I think this is the ??? mark W in the JM, page 152.

Let me do some research. Does your car have air-conditioning? Automatic?

Gary, it's a 1968 - L36 with Air Conditioning and 4 speed. It was just judged at Frisco.

Another thing to add to the Judging Manual.


According to the 68 AIM that I looked through today, I found:
12-11-67 the Solenoid was added for Air Condition cars.
12-11-67 The vacuum lines were revised.
1-18-68 The engine models were revised that received solenoids.
1-2-68 a new Tune-Up Sticker / Decal was added.
2-19-68 The vacuum fitting in the intake manifold is revised to allow intake manifold vacuum to the distributor.
February 1968 , Chevrolet Service News Tune Up Specification Change - 1968 Corvette with 427 cu.in. Engine, Manual Transmission, and Air Conditioning issued.



So, all these changes took place between roughly SN 8,000 and SN 10,400.
