1966 427 block usage and the 961 casting

    1966 427 block usage and the 961 casting

    In the reference books it list the 961 block used early on. However we all know that block to be a 396 CI block. Al the old time engine guys I talked too say that block can not be safely bored to a 427. So is that listing in the books a error or is there known cars out there with this block
