lube for 65 steering upper and lower bearings

i'm going to rebuild my steering column and have the upper and lower bearings, they came dry (no grease or lube) and i'm sure they should have some grease. What type of lube, and how do i get it in there? Thanks

Wheel bearing grease works for me.
