Re: Technical question on paperwork when one sells an old Corvette
Thanks for all the responses. The one answer that got my attention is from Kenneth Barry. IMHO the original
awards should stay with the person that put in all the Time/Effort/Money/Work when the awards where earned.
I suppose if the buyer would offer a premium price for the originals one could be persuaded. JMHO-Larry

I take a different slant. I give all the original paperwork POP ETC. I have to the new owner but keep the original NCRS?BB awards as they have no relevance to the car after it is judged. I give copies for reference only. Also I give all the pictures I have & in some cases Corvette books that have pictures of the car in it. I have watched more than once people after their Corvette is judged take off a trunk load of original parts & replace with repos. Awards are only good the day they are judged.Larry

If a new owner is interested in a cars judging history this info can be obtained from the NCRS and Bloomington, having the previous certificates means nothing. Plaques and Trophy's from show and shine's mean less. JMHO- Top

As they say, " if you have two partners in business together and they never disagree, you have one too many partners." Great discussion and a subject many of us have had to deal with in our own way. The only right answer is the one you make.Garry Barnes #18531
