Tung Sol 552
There were two Tung Sol 552 used an early model and late model. The early was silk screened and the late was embossed on the top. Both had a natural case. eBay and Chicago Corvette advertised a NOS 552 late but both have a gold finish. My 67 is a late model but has a gold finished 552 which passed Top Flight judging in 2010. There is no mention in the Judging Guide regarding a gold finish. Was there a gold finish used? Was this part possibly a service replacement? Thank you.

I'm not sure if this helps with your judging question, but I've got a couple of NOS 552, non-DOT flashers. Here's a pic of the boxes & the embossed labeling. (Ignore the 170 & 550) Since mine both came in a AC boxes, perhaps embossed is both 'late' production and service?
