56 Block

I am posting this for a friend.

Briefly looked at a 56 today, and have a question about the pad. Block casting number 3720991, so far so good. Casting date was really hard to make out. Looking in between wiring, down draft tube, one eye open standing on one leg while juggling bowling pins, you get the idea. At first I thought I saw L06. May have been an extra digit that I missed to the left. Possible it was (extra digit), then 106.

The pad numbers were pretty clear, see photo. Clearly saw brooch marks to the right, to the left of numbers couldn't make out much of anything. What I saw was T56G. Could this be a warranty replacement block with those pad numbers?

Can't really decipher what is on the stamp pad to give an opinion. Any chance you have a shot from an angle where the stamped characters show up better? Would really help.

Saw a thread on the Tri 5 website with the same T56G stamp. I do believe its a passenger car block.
