    1955 corvette

The V8 cars had the bronze "V" over the side script, I am missing one side. I assume these are just laid over trip parts, anyone know who reproduces these? thanks Ronnie

been 10 years since I installed them but as I recall, there are a pair of pins cast into the V. I think I ran a die on the studs then used hex nuts on the back side. Dave had his repo's gold plated in so calif. as I recall, they were 250/pr. mike

                  Re: 1955 corvette

The photos look like left over parts from Jack Reeves 53-62 Corvette Place business. Jack bought John Rohner's stuff and continued to repo some of the same parts. JNJ ended up with Jack's stuff.

Now the issue may be that what you bought are parts from Jack's estate that were never completed. They look like copper or brass and not gold. So I think they were never gold plated. Dave used to plate his with, according to him, 24 KT.

For the price you paid you can probably get them gold plated with 14 KT and still be in good shape.
