I forget how old the Zerex G-05 is in my '62. I'd like to test it.

Any recommendations for coolant test strips?

You can use the NAPA strips to check the nitrate and moly concentrations. You will find that the G-05 is low on nitrates on purpose. Nitrates are not the most aluminum friendly chemicals. Moly was added to buffer the nitrate effects on aluminum. If you do want to bump your nitrates up a little you can use the NAPA (Wix) additive FIL 4056

If you can't remember how long since the coolant was renewed, consider replacing it. It's not hard to do nor expensive.

I'm not sure if traditional test strips give valid results on HOAT antifreeze, but I know they don't work for OAT.

They basically test the pH, and when the coolant becomes acidic, it's time to change.

As previously stated, it would probably just be better to change and maintain good records to remind you to change again in about five years.
