Ever seen one of these? As per Corvette News Vol. 5:3. Can you identify all the parts? (There were two of each except for the bar--only one of each pictured.

Re: Solid axle 2nd front stabilizer bar
That's an ultra-rare piece, Mike. The Jerry Austin/Bob Bondurant '57 racer has one, though obviously added after ownership by these two drivers. It's the only C1 I've ever seen with the GM bar although I've seen other C1 racers which have had 2nd front bars of unknown heritage added.

Re: Solid axle 2nd front stabilizer bar
Mike, did Mike Pilsburys 60 racer have these or other parts. I remember him telling me he spotted the stabilizers in the Corvette junk yard he bought the 60 from.1964 Red FI Coupe, DUNTOV '09
Drove the 64 over 5000 miles to three Regionals and the San Jose National, one dust storm and 40 lbs of bugs!- Top

Re: Solid axle 2nd front stabilizer bar
Jim, the first picture Mike Ernst shows of the article in Corvette News showing the second front stabilizer bar is the Corvette News issue I took to my local Chevrolet dealer in 1963 and had him order all the parts so I install them on the '57. The article listed all the part numbers and said Chevrolet had notified SCCA to make the parts retroactive for all solid axle Corvettes. By the way I still have that issue of Corvette News- Top

Re: Solid axle 2nd front stabilizer bar
Mike,
I know this is an old thread but it appears no one has answered your question re: part #s. If you are still interested I stumbled upon print #3823052 which lists all parts required to assemble/build. Print was drawn 12-21-61. Will snail mail if you still need.- Top

Re: Solid axle 2nd front stabilizer bar
Fred Yeakel's silver 57 also used the added bar. He bought and installed his in 1960. Bob Erickson in Seattle owns and vintage races the car today.
