        All------

As I've said many times before, we are indeed fortunate to have the DeWitts reproduction radiators available. When GM discontinued the 63-72 aluminum radiator, GM #3155316, I thought that was it; we'd never see a reproduction. DeWitts "rose to the challenge". It's way more than NCRS correctness, too. If one has a 1963-72 Corvette originally equipped with an aluminum radiator, the copper/brass replacement will not cool as well as the original aluminum. So, there's a functional issue, not just a "correctness" issue. I cringe whenever I see a 1963-72 Corvette originally equipped with an aluminum radiator but with a "funky" copper/brass replacement.

Joe I agree with you 100% why settle for something that is 2nd rate when you can have a top quality part both function and correct looking.

Tom, it would be nice if you would offer the option to add the oval clamp marks on the radiator top plate as deductions are being taken without them.

I gave up a long time ago. I couldn't get a majority to agree on what was actually going to pass judging

This is being looked into however, the point deduct should be no more than 1-2 raw points which amounts to nothing in the final score. It's just a way to say "I wasn't fooled", this is not a 60 year old radiator.

I'd just like to add my two cents about DeWitts. Several years ago I bought one of their radiators, a couple years later it started to leak. I was heading that way anyhow so I took my radiator to them. They checked it out said it was very clean inside (used distilled water and antifreeze) and told me that at the time of my radiator being built some of the welding was farmed out, ( it is now done in house). As they were testing my rad they gave me a tour of their plant, very cool. I was pleasantly surprised when they exchanged radiators for me at no charge even though it was past warranty. Tom and his crew are a great bunch of guys and a real asset to this hobby!

Tom do you make or planning to make dated reproduction radiators for the 70/72 454?

                      Hi Tom,
I have followed your instructions and I am unable to fine the Check Out Window or a method to order your HP 1249063M.

www..dewitts.com gives me the super sale "CLICK HERE" window and that window tells me to go back to www. Dewitts.com ????

                      Need some help.

Has anyone ben able to look over Tom's new '62 "reproduction radiator" #944? I'd like to see how accurate the cast upper neck is since no photos of the neck show up in their catalog.

Of course, Tom D. if you have a photo of the neck, could you forward it to me?

                        Thx
                        Jerry M.

Tom, members are grateful for having the opportunity to buy your company's radiators. I know that I've bought several. The issue of points deduction is worth mentioning. On C2 judging, the radiator is worth 15 originality points. Following CDCIF, configuration is worth a total of 3 points and date is worth 3 points. Although I deduct 2 points for the wrongly configured top plate due to the surface appearance and lack of oval clamp marks, technically, the radiator could be subject to a six point deduction based on configuration and date. As a chassis judge, I like to see that the owner presents a car with a radiator that at least acknowledges that the oval marks should be present even if they are not perfectly presented. Just show me that you as the owner know that those marks should be there.

Thanks and I hope that you will continue considering the addition of this feature (even for an additional price).
                          Best,
                          Tony
