I am no longer worried about any points for the tires--just want a good set of tires that look good on the car. I have to buy new tires so now just trying to get input on the best looking radial tires with some performance. Thanks.

Hi Paul. I bought the Wide Oval radials from Coker this summer. I have put less than 100 miles on them so far; I will probably put another 100 miles on them over Thanksgiving weekend (depending on weather). I'm perfectly happy with performance so far -- they are modern radial tires. With respect to durability, it is just too soon to say. Here are a couple more pics, plus a pic of the old spare!

        They look cool.

They're S-speed rated, but Coker's website doesn't specify UTQG. Is it molded in the sidewall? This will give you a sense for expected tread life.

List price for GR70x15 is $286 each, over four times the price of the S-speed, 460AB Goodyears on my car. That's a lot for raised white letters.

I do not believe there is a UTQG rating on the sidewall. I can double check over Thanksgiving. Yes, they were expensive -- some could say overpriced. I admit it, I bought mostly based on looks.
I will definitely post again if I have any notably good or bad experiences in the coming months and years.

If I buy the BF Goodrich P225-70-15 they are about $600 for a set. The Coker RWL FR-70-15 are $1076 for a set, so the cost is not quite double. I agree with Daniel K. they are probably overpriced but I, too, like the looks. I don't want to think how much $$$ I have spent to get my 71 LT-1 to Top Flight status---but I must admit I have enjoyed the journey and all the great people I have met on the way. I can never thank all those individuals who have helped me during this 10 year process---without them I would have never reached my goal. I guess it all depends on what you want to do with your corvette Whatever your desire or goal--I hope you reach it.The competition was always with myself not anyone elses car or NCRS. Again thanks to all those who have helped me along the way.

Otay, resurrecting this thread since we had a number of C3's at the recent Fluhreduh Regional. All youse sage judges what is your "expert" opinion on how the Coker RWL FR-70-15 radial tires have judged / should judge? Personally, they appear to have a similar tread to original. As such, it may be much less obvious than many think the deduction should / will be. Does / will the standard deduction apply, or what percentage do ya'll believe should be assessed?
