Exhaust manifold for a 1954 corvette NCRS standards

I am finishing up my 1954 early corvette for NCRS and was wondering if someone can let me know if the exhaust manifold is painted Black with high temp paint with gm engine blue overspray or with high temp silver with engine blue overspray... My exhaust manifold are getting a little rusty and wanted to clean them up but nor over restore them....

What is recommended by NCRS to pass during a top flight or a PV for this item..

    thanks

    Mark,
In the 6th Edition of the TIMJG refer to page 132 and 133. They were not painted. Note the exhaust gasket was painted
at the same time as the engine (blue). No washers (lock or plain) was used. You may need to purchase the PV manual from NCRS
because PV is not the same as Flt judging. Just clean the rust and maybe use some cast iron spray. it should look original.

      That is not correct
the intake manifold and exhaust manifold were installed at the same time and ALL was painted at once.
There is a deduction if the manifold is not painted
      Page 131 and page 122
The entire assembly was painted and then was lifted by the intake/exhaust combo
The intake and exhaust were on at the time of painting.

I am cleaning up my exhaust manifold on an early 1954 Blueflame 6. It has a little surface rust and I was going to wire brush it off but how do I keep the rust from coming back... and still keep it original for NCRS standards?

If you really want to solve the problem remove the manifold and bead blast it. Then coat it with high temperature clear. Seems to me that is a 1500 degree rattle can. Then top that with the correct engine blue. The blue will discolor over time but the clear underneath will prevent rust from reappearing.

Or perhaps have it ceramic coated; if one could get the correct color?

Eastwood sells ceramic engine paint. Chevy orange included but not the blue you would need.
