Location of Service Parts ID Label in '98 Convertible
Location of Service Parts ID Label in '98 Convertible
We are going to look at a '98 Pace Car this weekend but I'm not familiar with C5's. We bought a 97-99 TIM&JG at Carlisle but it doesn't make it clear where this label will be found in convertibles. I want to ask the seller to provide a picture of the label so I'll have the VIN (to run a carfax) and all the RPO codes. But I don't where he can find it.
Thanx

Thanx Patrick. I ran many Google and forum searches and never found a definitive answer - until now. Convertibles have rear storage compartments? If so, they don't seem to be described in the TIM&JG. Also, in the very few pictures of the area behind the seats in convertible C5's I wasn't able to see any storage compartments.

Yes, '98 has three compartments in the rear. All have lids which are flush with floor. One large compartment in center with smaller ones on either side. If car has 12 disc cd changer it is located in center compartment. You can store a lot in these compartments but be careful as they get hot as mufflers are next to them and they are not insulated. You should also have a cargo net (std with all cars). Let me know if you have other questions. I have a one owner '98 in the shed.
