T I. ignition system voltage at coil during start question

When trying to start car should the coil voltage be at battery voltage and when released switched to run is the voltage lower?

Ed, No, coil is not at Battery voltage but the TI module gets Battery volts via Solenoid R terminal during crank.

Edward, I was on my S-Phone when I first replied and couldn't type a lot, but....

I should have also mentioned that when the TI Module gets Bat+ volts during CRANK, by design, the coil will get a slightly higher voltage from the output Power Transistor in the module in the form of larger amplitude pulses. During RUN with alternator charging it may be the same or greater. It would make for a good experiment some day if I get a TI car to play with.
