    1953 1954 fuel pumps

    Are the fuel pumps for a 53 and 54 the same?
    I am trying to locate a pump for a 54 driver car.
    Vendors are telling me that the 9797 airtex pump is on backorder.
    Would a M2430 Carter pump be a reasonable replacement?
