    63 P/S Slave Cylinder Rebuild

    I'm rebuilding the P/S slave cylinder on my 63. The rubber grommet on the piston end is just too thick as I can not get the C-clip to set in place. There are only three parts on that end, the grommet, the copper colored washer and the C-clip.

    Anyone have the part number of the original grommet or a supplier that has the correct size grommet.

    The stud end went together in 30 seconds.

      The individual components of the piston end seal system were never available separately from GM. They were available only as a kit. That kit was GM #5686382. However, it was discontinued without supersession more than 10 years ago.
