    Rear Caliper Steel Lines routing

Did the factory install the steel lines so that the caliper mounting bolts were accessible with a socket? Were the lines run basically under and just behind the mounting bolts?

The replacement lines I have fit perfectly except that they block access to the caliper mounting bolts.

    Thanks,

    Bill

Bill, You may have to tweak the lines some, the replacement lines on my 72 I had the same thing. The bolts where accessible from the factory.

I can tell you for certain that the brake lines interfered with access to the caliper mounting bolts on my 1969 which should be the same as 70-72. However, it is possible to re-position the lines slightly to gain access to the bolts.

        Thank you Joe,

It has been several years since I removed the old lines. You confirmed my recollection. I am guessing the factory was not too concerned since they likely installed the caliper before the brake lines with the system dry.

        Kind Regards,

        Bill

          Thank you Edward.

          My recollection jibes with Joe.

          Kind Regards,
