'58 - '60 tail light housing - reproduction vs. re-chroming

My '60 tail light housing is too pitted to re-install.

Is there a correct reproduction supplier/manufacture available? (I did not see that Trim Parts makes these)
I read many threads in the archives, but only about re-chroming and nothing about reproduction units.

I don't know who makes them, but Paragon sells reproductions. You can have yours replated, but make sure they are good at replatinh these pot metal parts. I had a set for a 60 replated and they turned out pretty good. Ask your plater, but you probably will need to remove the tabs that the lens screw to. The re- rivet them back on after plating

I did exactly what Don did on my 59. The houlsing were mildly pitted and turn out great. Remove the brackets before senting it to the plater. You may find that after plating the area arounf the socket doesn't get much chrome plating. That normal and once assembled you can see it. Make sure you add the little white plugs in the drain holes.
