So was going out to lunch withy girlfriend in a Sydney eastern suburb... she got lost and had to turn around... my eyes spotted under a tarp the sleak body silhouette of a 1954 or 55 Corvette in red.. it was indeed a 54... Just sitting outside beaten by the Australian sun and salty humidity
The Australian owner comes outside overly excited to show off his All-American plastic to an American... he was a member of NCRS Australia... (who knew) once I pulled the tarp off..it was a RIGHT HAND DRIVE CORVETTE. .he claimed it was purchased for the Australian prime minister by Holden and produce in Flint, 1of 2 cars made for Australia with right hand drive. I called BS on that. .but looking inside it looks like it was a factory job both under the hood and the dash is impeccably correct. Does not look like a conversion..
Anyone knows about these RHD Corvettes... I know about the C2 that was in Melbourne and was done by GM. But a C1?
