This may be a future project. Most all the corvette parts vendors have them but has anyone installed one lately or know of a good one.

I have not done one, but have friends who loved the Steeroids kit:

Chester------
Personally, I recommend only retrofitting an original type 63-82 Corvette power steering system. I would not consider for even a moment retrofitting any other type of system. Doing so can end up with many "pitfalls" and require other modifications. The original Corvette system works wonderfully and provides a good measure of road feel. There's absolutely no need to "re-engineer" a power steering system for a 1963-82 Corvette.
You can obtain complete or nearly complete systems from most of the major parts vendors. Dr. Rebuild or Lonestar Caliper are 2 good ones that come to mind. Most of these systems will include rebuilt pump, control valve, and cylinder with some reproduction parts and some other new parts. This is a bolt on installation and requires absolutely no modifications. Once installed, it's virtually impossible for anyone to discern that the system was not originally installed on the car.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Chester,
I would second what Joe recommends. I did a power steering install on a 67' Camaro and other than finding the right pulleys (it went along with a 454 engine swap) it went smoothly and I couldn't have been more pleased with the outcome. I used all original production parts. I have considered doing the same thing on my Corvette. I think it would be easier on the Corvette.

Chet, Lonestar sells a kit , but the last kit I installed was not a real deal control valve they are making new ones now, I understand that there is a shortage of original valves these days.New England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight.- Top
