I would like to thank all the members who made the NCRS 2016 Texas Lone Star Regional such a great success. To name a few: Bob Demmel Chapter President; David King Judging Chairman, Bill Calorico 66 Team Leader; Tom Ames Paint & Body and all the judges that helped me make my car better. It was a very fun and educational experience. This was my first time out with my 66 (Top Flight). Approximately 80 cars were present. Again a great job ladies & gentleman. Next stop the San Antonio National July 2017.

Look forward to meet you Bob. Have you ever heard of BOB WINGATE from California? He worked for Clippinger Chevrolet in West Covina and was the top selling salesman of Corvettes and other performance Chevrolet cars in the county from 1956-72. I know him well if you would like to meet him.

The FRISCO REGIONAL was its usual great show. The part I love is seeing old friends. Left to Right: GARY PRONCSTI from Syracuse, NY originally now Zellwoo Florida, ED WITTWER from Carpintera, California and JOHN BALDWIN originally from Long Island, now Florida. These old friends are from the ''movers and shakers'' of our hobby. We has a lot fun sharing history of rare Corvettes and parts that each have discovered over the years.

I LOVE FUEL INJECTION CARS. There were some great examples. This 65 model is one of the ''first'' 65 fuel cars with side exhaust, vin #9038. The owner went thru many inspections and judging to prove this fact as well as owner history

James, Yes meeting up with old friends is one of the special things about the NCRS meetings.
I did speak with the Nabers for awhile. Gary and I shared some talk about Joe DeMesy's 67 black/black L79 factory A/C car.
This one passed through Gary's hands several years ago. Very nice 67 and the only one on record.
I do know about the other older Bob Wingate. I've been in the mail order luxury watch business for forty years. I have been asked many times if I was the Bob Wingate that sold vintage Chevy's. He most likely has been asked the question if he sold watches.
Corvette Mike was at the meeting and he said the California Bob Wingate stopped by his showroom a month or so ago.
Perhaps we'll meet up some day.

Having recently acquired an original, one owner 68 roadster my son & I made the trim from Austin on Saturday to view the judging to get an idea of what NCRS was about, etc.
Didn't know what to expect but we were met with enthusiasm & everyone we met was willing to share information.
What a great group!

Rich, we have one of the best Saturday Corvette meeting groups you will ever find right here in Austin. We generally get about five to 10 guys to work on Corvettes every Saturday. One of the regulars is the original owner of his 1968 Corvette, he has lots of knowledge on the '68's. We work on cars for fun and after years of doing it, we actually sometimes know what we are doing........

Sorry, I've been traveling. 817 McPhaul St. Austin, TX. We may be short folks the next few weekends. A group of us will be in Chicago for the MCCAN show this weekend. We generally work on mid-year Corvettes, but we have abused a few C-3's, too.
