On the 69 convertible do the brackets that the rear deck lid latches against fit on top or under the carpet?

There is a "U"-shaped cutout in the carpet around the bracket.

Not so on this carpet. I purchased it several years ago and am just now installing it. Maybe I got a cheap brand. Thanks for the reply Joe.

No carpet sets I have seen come with any cutouts. The ones you mention as well as those around the seat tracks must be measured and cut.
