1967 license plate light assembly, where does this wire.....

Were does this wire go? Looks like a ground, but do not know were to bolt it down. Any help, as always, is much appreciated.

It is the ground and there are black grounds behind that do the rest of the lights. The secret will be which one it reaches if you dont have the manual. I am sure someone else will have the exact location.

Here is the 66 Aim page . If you are in a hurry, it should suffice and be the same as 67.

If not ,wait for further confirmation.

Dom, great to hear from you and thanks. I did not think the assembly manual would show this, but will take a look. I suspect I have to remove the entire lower valance to mount this light assembly?

John, Some photos of a 66 with a new rear harness below.

Note that I replaced the wire clamps with rubberized clamps as original. The ground wire goes on top of the most forward lic lamp housing mount screw. Use toothed lockwasher when attaching it to the screw.

Rich, thanks for all the photos and comments. I will check to see how the tail lights are wired too. Maybe the last person who installed the tailights left one of the grounds off. Will look for a smaller ground for the license plate light assembly.

John, I edited my post. Read it again. Your ground lug is correct. I was thinking '66. Sorry for the error.
