As I'm cleaning up little things around my car. I noticed that a few of the rivets that mate the metal edge trim to the black tray have backed out. I see that the rivets are available is there a tool that can be used to install them ?
Hi Anthony,
I believe the rivets used were the typical large head soft aluminum rivet found many places on our cars.
It appears to me however that they were not set in the usual manner whereby a mushroom shape resulted from the setting operation.
Instead the 'set side' of the rivets on the window storage tray display a uniform flat cylindrical shape that I've found difficult to replicate.
The same process was used on the rivets that mount the carrier to the spare tire bucket.
???
Regards,
Alan
