Joe Thanks for the reply. I buy most of my parts from Paragon and I'am not sure who's they sell. With that said who do you think makes one that is like a GM original.

Bob,

Sermersheim makes a good rear panel but their delivery lacks a little to be desired.

Would recommend going to Corvette Carlisle and finding an original or at least try.

Joe I go to Corvette Carlisle every year (2hrs away) all I find is junk ones and their big $$ so i'am looking for the best repo I can buy

When I bought my 63, the LWC back in 1979 it had the rear bumpers and exhaust panel off. The owner had stepped on the panel and it was broken in half. Walked many miles in the fleas in the old days trying to find an original 63 panel. Wasn't easy then and I am sure quite difficult today to find a 63. Good luck Bob. JD

After market or original if you are looking for showing the car you need to know what color glass you need, it is easy to see the inside, with the car finished and no paint on that part. Early white/yellow or late lt gray. None of the repops are the correct color, both fit ok never perfect.

My 18,000 and my 20,000 original painted cars where lt gray. My 9,000 was white /yellow

If possible, could you post your findings/observations of the Paragon rear panel whenever you inspect it? That would be great!

Mike I just called Paragon and they could not tell me who made this part. she said it must be preordered 3-4 weeks . I will not see one until CORVETTE Carlisle in Aug if I can not find one, photos on their webpage look pretty good.
