63 manual steering box

Searched the archives but I'm reading a lot of conflicting info -- what are the signs of a late (May) 63 steering box....mine has the 5666723 (in indented numbers) AND CHECK=><=LUBE (embossed) text on the cover...

The main housing has 5677649 embossed on it..

It passed judging but I've since been told its a '64 box (which is what the JG says)

Here is the lid from my low mileage Mid May '63. I am confident that it is original.

interesting -- past threads on here describe a mid-May changeover to a different cover....
I wonder if yours is before that - mine is a May 29th car with the CHECK=><=LUBE text..
