55 front clip question

Hello everyone,

I am looking into buying a replacement front clip for my 55. Of all the research I have done, two companies stand out. They are Corvette Image and and company called Stinger who is a supplier for Ecklers. Both have very similar products but are very far apart on price. I will gladly pay more for a better quality product

My question is, is there one company that is preferred over the other? Has anyone had any bad fiberglass products? Any help would be great.

I have purchased several from Corvette Image
They have a couple options
I assume you want it to look original - so you would want a press molded piece, smooth on the inside
Jerry and Suzanne are great people to work with
Look for about 8 weeks to get your front end.
I just put one on a 59 - I am extremely happy with it

The Stinger products they show online are all hand-laid, as opposed to press-molded. This will result in a rough texture on the back side, and significant deductions in judging. I would not recommend using this type of fiberglass unless your car is a driver and in the "will never be judged" category.

Corvette Image would be my choice for your car.
