Anybody have a recommendation on a source for a '62 repro jack? Paragon is sold out and have no idea when they will get some more.

Re: '62 Repro Jack
Corvette Central has one, they say it's an exact reproduction or $269.00 (pictured)?? Corvette America lists the Repro Jack too. Aren't some of the Repro jacks for display purposes only, and not intended to actually lift the car?

Re: '62 Repro Jack
Jimmy,
Did you call Central and confirm they have one in stock? All the dealers have one in their catalog. All have been made by the same supplier for about 30 years. All have a sleeve on them you need to remove. The sleeve says the jack is for display only and not for jacking. Liability reasons, obviously. I know Chris is dialed in to that. Check out his member number. He's not a rookie.- Top

Re: '62 Repro Jack
Thank you Jimmy and Mike. I did not call Corvette Central or the other Corvette parts vendors. At one time, the Paragon jack was the one that got the most judging points. The Paragon one was the one to get. But you have really clarified my main questions:
1. Does anybody else have these jacks?
2. Are they all the same?- Top

Re: '62 Repro Jack
I am not sure if the 62 is the same as 58 - 60. I know the 58 - 60 can be spotted in 2 areas. One is the base is slightly different and I can't remember the other difference. They are very close but do take a hit in judging. I hope this helps. Good luck, Don H.- Top

Re: '62 Repro Jack
All the repo jacks are made by the same company right here in the US of A. Bluejacket makes the jacks for all the vendors. That used to be John Smith of Bluejacket, OK. The business changed hands several years ago. The display use only tag on the jacks is because of a liability issue. They don't want some fool to take them to court!
