Thanks Gary; sounds awesome. Corvettes at Carlisle is late August so that gives us an idea for timing.

Let me know if your team needs help with proofreading. An outsider's review sometimes catches things missed by the team.

I was looking to purchase one of the Authentication Library books. NCRS says there is no inventory. That was the end of March 2016. It is now almost the end of May. Does anyone know the reasons for the delays? I also noticed that the Board recently authorized $30,000.00 to purchase original drawings of an early Corvette for the museum or such. What is going on? $30,000.00 for some blueprints and no library available for members to purchase books?

Frank...the inventory from the Cincinnati office was finally recovered and moved last Saturday, the 14th of May...inventory is currently being conducted and we should be up and running in the very near future...I suggest you take a look at the online Driveline link at the top of the page and read page 1 & 2...contact Paul Oslansky and I'm sure he'll be able to accommodate your request shortly...

Color version priced accordingly is the way to go. They could be printed only when a sufficient number of pre-orders were received thereby insuring the effort to be profitable for NCRS.

Downloads would be prirated. You can't prevent a PDF from being forwarded and protection simply prevents you from making changes or in some cases printing.

Re: Judging Guides and Color Pictures

I was a director at the US Patent/Trademark Office....color is a big deal in some areas -- like staking a claim to a particular color of flower that has been custom bred. I wouldn't get hung up on it and a disclaimer in the manuals that color is to improve detail and not indicated correct hue, etc.. would cover things I think. The color manuals could also be sold on-line at a special price as a PDF and the buyer could download and print them at his option (a cost savings for the seller). But, as stated, I don't think in this day and age the cost of color documents is prohibitive...

Re: Judging Guides and Color Pictures

I would shell out more money for a color judging guide. I've bought plenty of books about corvettes since starting in the hobby, and expect color pictures when I spend 50 dollars on a book. After looking at the NCRS financials sent out, I can see judging guides are a substantial and consistent source of revenue for NCRS, so it seems like a good investment from that angle as well, assuming it can be done while improving the margin on the books.
