70 PCV Spring Clamp Color and placement

I did a search and cam cup with a few threads. Two said Dark Olive Green and one on a 69 sb said Black.

One thread also indicated there was a clamp on the carb end only. The AIM show a clamp on both ends as a Production part of the PCV hose.

What is the correct color and placement of clamps? L46.

    Thanks,

    Bill

    Bill,
My 1970 small block has a dark green clamp on each end of the PCV hose. It is a dark enough color that I can see why some people think it is black, but it is not. Be sure you get the correct clamps with the square cut ears. Beginning in the mid-1970s the spring clamps began to have ears with rounded ends for safety reasons. The square cut ears will cut your hands if you do not treat them carefully.

Thank you Terry. I was hoping you would chime in.

I have what I believe are original clamps and the tangs are sharp and square.

      Kind Regards,

      Bill
