    Rim Identification

With my '62 I received an assortment of rims and I have no idea as to what they fit.

I thought I would post some front and back views and see if I can get some help figuring what these might be from. More then likely they are passenger car rims.

I have two of both Style 1 & 3 and one of Style 2...

    Thanks for any assistance!

Eric, years ago, maybe around 2003-7?, someone posted a wheel chart for 53-62's. IIRC the chart included much detail. I haven't had a chance to search yet.

Thanks Steve, I will have to go out in the archives and see if I can find it.

        Assuming these are 5 X 15.

Style 1 is the 58 - 60 "dogbone" Corvette wheel
        Style 2 is the 61 - 62 Corvette wheel
Style 3 is the 54 - 57 Chevy passenger car wheel

          Thanks Tracy,

They are are the rims that came on my 62, they are all 15x5 with new 40 year old Firestones Deluxe Champions installed. I am thinking that the PO went scrounging when he pulled the Cragers off that are in my profile avatar.

Now I know what I have and what I need.

The wheels have date code stampings but the tires must be removed to see the stampings.

              Thanks David,

Not to sure how long it will be before I get a chance to check the dates since I will be rolling the chassis around on them until I get father along. Also, seems like my luck that the rim that I only have one of is the one I need. Well, I guess one is a start!

Style 3 would have to stop in '56 as the '57 Chevy had 14" wheels.

Thanks everyone. Sooner or later I will be parting with the odd rims and it's good to know where they belong.
