So I bought the AL Knoch carpet set for my coupe and I checked the NCRS Judging guide and it states that the 63 carpeting should have a foam backing on all pcs. of carpet.
Al Knock does not have a foam backing.Does anyone know what is correct. Does this get judged if so how. Thanks
Robert,
None of the reproduction carpets are 100% correct and you may see a deduct from the judges they usually find an issue with the heal pad in reproduction carpet and sometimes the weave is off.
thanks. when I install the rear seat hold downs ? does that metal plate go over or under the carpet and is there a methodical way to install the carpet, like one piece should go first so on and so forth. Thanks again.
Bob the metal plates are interior color and go under carpets, Front carpets are pretty cut and dry, I would start from the rear wheel opening's left and right, these pieces require some trail fitting and positioning. make sure the carpet been laid out in a warm place for a few days to work out the wrinkles. or if your in a warmer climate outside in the sun will work.
