GM #987701 is a mirror unit applicable to 1958-62 full size passenger cars. It was discontinued in May, 1963 and replaced by GM #985601.

thanks joe. i picked it up yesterday at an antique mall hoping it'd work in our 61 bubble top. its a day/nite mirror which the bubble top lacks. thanks again, mike

Yes, it should be a chrome day/night mirror. Just because it was cataloged only for the passenger car application doesn't mean that it won't work for other applications.
