        Piper,
        pronounced die-chem and spelled Dykem.
Good stuff and can be bought as a marker pen.

Only if it is well used. A new red Sharpie will leave too thick and bright a mark. I like the looks of DyKem a lot better, but one still has to be casual about applying it.

Yep. It was used as a layout dye on metal for machining or making templates in the old days. We would buy it pint cans with a brush attached to the cap. It came in blue & red.

I spelled it incorrectly--should have been red dykem. The stuff I have came in a pint bottle with a brush included. I use either a small paint brush when applying dashes or checks and a q tip when applying a dot. It is not that thick and is easy to apply. The argument that most judges make is that when compared to Bowtie cars the dots are too bright or dark. The point is that when new the red dots and dashes were bright and when the dykem is left to the elements it fades. Pretty hard to compare a 40 year old actuator with what I was supposed to look like on the car at the time of delivery from the dealer.
